Programs for Future Leaders

NASHIM carries out a range of training programs for future leaders who will promote service to the international community and appeal for permanent world peace through their cooperation in Hibakusha medical care.

Lectures and Panel Exhibitions

NASHIM organizes lectures, symposia and photographic expositions for the general public in order to disseminate precise knowledge about Hibakusha medical care and radioactivity, and provide information on the A-bomb damage in Nagasaki. NASHIM also organizes panel exhibitions introducing its activities, so as to raise public awareness and understanding of the significance of, and necessity for, international cooperation in Hibakusha medical care.

Publication

NASHIM publishes books to disseminate knowledge about Hibakusha medical care and radioactivity, including Radioactivity Q&A, Japanese translations of books on radiation accidents outside Japan, and English translations of books on the atomic bombing of Nagasaki and related subjects.

Nagasaki/Dr. Nagai Peace Memorial Prize

In keeping with the spirit of Dr. Takashi NAGAI, a physician and Nagasaki A-bomb survivor who dedicated himself to medicine and the promotion of peace, NASHIM commends researchers and others in and outside Japan who have made outstanding contributions to world peace by developing Hibakusha medical care and improving the well-being of Hibakusha.
